This set is great! Love all the previously unreleased demos and live footage. I have seen complaints about record 1 (meteora) and it doesn't sound as good as the 2lp set I have, but you also don't have to flip the record as often. If you want the main album at it's best on vinyl look for a 2lp set, otherwise this box set is great.

I didn't have any issues with the box itself, but it's so bullshit that I'd essentially have to buy the compilation 3 times to get everything. They should have at least included 'Lost (2002 Mix)' on the Meteora CD.

As it has been stated before, Meteora (Record One) sounds horrid. However it's also true that it's not as noticeable if you let it on the backgroud not paying any attention.
As for the rest of the records, CDs and stuff, it's all amazing. -
Took my chance and failed. The meteora LP is unlistenable. Everything else sounds ok. The extra art bits and poster are nice and the cds save the day.
Somehow I do not think LP is for vinyl format. Never had a disc that made me say, wow it is better than the cd... -
Love the set in every way. Would’ve been good if they included the rarities and Live rarities on Vinyl.
Does anyone know how many this is limited to? -

Edited 2 years agoThis mastering of Meteora sounds absolutely terrible in comparison with the prior pressing I own. I couldn't get past "Lying from You", it sounded like a snake was hissing in my ears.
Just to check that nothing was wrong with my setup, I switched to the (ittedly 45 RPM, but that shouldn't change much balance-wise) version I have, and wow is there a world of difference. It's kind of sad they managed to mess up the flagship record of the box set.
I very much like the Live in Nottingham and Live in Texas pressings, so overall I'm happy, but I would have been terribly disappointed if I had needed the Meteora vinyl to be any good.
Edit. — I tried it on my second record player (the one in the living room), with some filters and a few tweaks in the amp, I managed to get something that can be listened to on speakers (but not with high-end headphones). I guess that's good enough for background music when I have guests over. 2 sides is definitely more convenient than 4. -
Worth it just for the vinyl live versions. Their singing and playing is so on point that it's indistinguishable from their studio album. You get the best HT songs on the live version too, so it's 2 albums in one.
Everything else is just a bonus. CD, DVD and digital stuff is a bit of a waste, most people don't even have a disc drive of any sort. Held the disc in my hand, and realised it's been nearly a decade since I last touched a CD.
Meteora itself sounds a bit lifeless next to the live version for some reason. Not sure if it's the mastering or the fact that the live versions outshines it so much more.
