I mean if you going to bother re release such a classic, surely you would include the original track?

For the adventurous DJ, it is certainly P.A.S. Live Edit that sounds the most appealing. It takes the well-known hook, splits it up and pieces it back together, complete with additional glitches, then throws it over an energetic broken kickdrum. Familiar, yet so different.
The P.A.S. Edit is the most straightforward version here, the hook playing on top of a 4/4 kickdrum, more monotonous than the original, but none the boringer for it. Sure, it sounds a little dull in snippets of thirty seconds; only when played for an elongated stretch of time does it reveal its true power.
Upon hearing excerpts, the Adam Beyer & Wehbba Rework may come across as the least interesting version on display: too modern, bloated with over-the-top production. Again, however, played in full, it turns out to be an absolute belter of a track, one that could very well destroy a dancefloor and make a set unforgettable. Like the other two, this one only keeps the hook of the original, and not much else. It filters it to smithereens, adds static discharges, jet turbines, and a heavily-compressed kickdrum... it stops short of drumrolls -- just! Still, it is deadly efficient without becoming cheesy.

What a great idea it was to not include the original on this record. It helps tease the ears without falling into the nostalgia trap. Those hell bent on playing the original version will have to procure the Peace-Frog release, which may help it not be played to death -- again. Anyone who has both, however, will likely be tempted to mix them together.

Well I guess it was going to happen, even though it took just short of 30 years....testimony the the original mix.
