Phenomenal sounding release!
To me, it seems likely that this is DDD (or at least, ADD) - so make of that what you will! -
Well mastered LP with excellent sound quality. Pressing quality is better than a lot of stuff these days, with a suitably low noise floor so as not to ruin the experience. Recommended.

Oh man.
This pressing sounds otherworldly. So crisp and dynamic, his voice booms out of the speakers as if he’s in the room. Even better is the fact there’s not a speck of surface noise on this record, so you can turn the volume all the way up and truly take in this recording. This is a deeply meditative and solemn album which is intensified by such a quiet and stunning pressing. It’s hard to believe what I’m hearing, with the volume up high the whole room seems to be held in a strange spiritual haze between David’s voice and the sparse instrumentation. Just unbelievable, if you think you enjoy this album by way of streaming or CD, you haven’t heard anything yet. -
Just purchased from Amazon for $16...the best new vinyl deal I have gotten in a long time. As others expressed, this pressing is fantastic! David voice is so deep and just resonates throughout. The sound is great, no clicks, no noise, full and dynamic. And this is all before an actual US clean (which is NOT my usual for new vinyl). If you enjoy Sylvian's later works, don't hesitate. Blows my old CD version away...this one is screaming for a needle drop.

I have just listened to the album and I guess that what we call surface noise can also be listened to on the CD. Maybe not all of it, but some (as far as I ). Which leads me to confirm that the quality of this vinyl is undisputable. Excellent!

The hype sticker says "First time on 180 gram vinyl" which is incorrect. the original version was also issued on 180 gram vinyl (to be exact, my original copy weighs 178 gram). The colors of the reissue are more intense than on the original cover. A really well made reissue, excellent pressing.

some very very light surface noise, but that's unavoidable with music this sparse. one of the best sounding records in my (800+) collection, sylvian's voice is right there at the front of the soundstage and the electronic production has plenty of depth. the guitars sound great too. buy this, you will not regret it at all. haven't heard the original but can't imagine anything sounding better than this. absolutely stunning.
listening setup: rega p6, ortofon mc cadenza bronze cartridge, stein music 'the perfect interface' carbon mat, liberty b2b-1 preamp, hegel h95 integrated amp, elac debut b5 speakers. -

The credits on the 2022 LP are incorrect. Derek Bailey is credited as playing on and co-writing B1 and B3 when he should have been credited for B2 and B4. Fennesz is credited for B4 when he should have been credited for B5.
The record sounds great, the artwork is beautiful, and it’s nice that they included the Japanese bonus track.
