Maybe it's me, but I do hear (very quiet in the background) in the track Just Another 909 Beat, a sample from the beginning from the song joe Jackson is she really going out with him ?

The B Sides are a great series of releases from the legendry Frank De Wulf, one of my favourite artists around this time. On each of the volumes there's usually one or two gems to be found, on here its "Compression" with its tough driving minimal edge, and "Ain't Nobody" which has a lovely relaxed vibe, with its familiar sounding piano. Other tracks are worth a listen & if you enjoy this 12" its defiantly worth checking out the other Volumes & Franks releases.

"Reforced" + "There Ain't Nobody" are absolute bangers! Miss that era.

                An essential release indeed !
First official track released by Frank De Wulf as B-sides (because Compression was originally on the B-side of the KK Mix released on Music Man just before ?)

"Reforced" was a simple but cool face-lift of Kraftwerk's "It's more fun to compute", and the other tracks were but more typical 90 Belgian housey tracks.
But "Compression" is one of the real essential tracks that built the modern techno sound. Relentless, sound-obsessive, powerfull, and with that Belgian techno sound that FDW helped defining (fat, round and lively compared to later techno styles).
It is one of these tracks that turned people mad back then, but that doesn't sound silly today : the perfect link between Hard beat and Techno-house.

One final guess : I think Compression was originally a diversion on "Reforced" break part. Does it, M. De Wulf ?
