Edited 2 years agoIn general, this edition of Madonna's 50 hits is what we have been waiting for a long time, there are very difficult to get radio versions, the overall sound quality is excellent. Could some details have been taken care of? Sure, but I am generally very satisfied with these three CDs (I have the US and Japanese editions). Once again the issue of such high sound levels returns, in many cases excessively cutting the peaks of the waves in pursuit of a louder sound. Which is incomprehensible after everything published about it; a full wave would be preferable, without high peak cutoffs, and turn up the volume as much as you want.
In addition, there is one track on the second CD, track number 9 [Don't Tell Me (Thunder Video Remix)] that has 128 mp3 quality whose spectrogram reaches 16 kHz; when the quality of a CD track is between 20 and 22 kHz. This is the same in the Us edition as in the Japanese one, and this lower audio quality is evident with respect to the rest of the tracks.This is also not understood, unless the audio has been obtained directly from the video, which is unacceptable; one buys a CD to have minimal CD quality on all the tracks, it would be preferable to leave this track out and replace it with any of the many that were left out.
I would like to know if the same thing happens with this track in the limited edition of 6 vinyls, which I do not own and is the one that opens vinyl number 3, that is, it is the first track of vinyl 3 (side G1).
