Fantastic release! Yeah, radio edits, but this is why it is so special. I have almost every track here on vinyl but got it because its like compressed archive of trance classics. If you are skilled enough you can mix even these short edits and it is really fun to do!

If you don't expect from this release to get the long original edits; then this is a very good release. Overall happy with price vs what you get!

Excellent compilation, but with a serious error, they only offer "Extended Mix" in digital and in vinyl format they are all "Radio Edit" tracks, it would be better to reward vinyl with "Extended Mix" since, as you say, those tracks are classics that were originally sold in vinyl, excessive price on vinyl for "Radio Edit"

Edited 2 years agoI have to chime in with the happy campers. I'm not after perfection, I'll take a best case scenario, as others have said, to compile all these singles would cost a small fortune, and it's almost certain you'd get a fair few in not great condition. It's a great collection, instant classic tracks and in great order. Lovely pressing, good quality, flat vinyl with silent background. Cover is pretty cheap really, but again, doesn't really bother me, it's the records I want.

Excellent compilation! Radio edits or not, it still takes me back to the good old days when trance music was trance music.
Do I want to get some of those tracks as a proper singles? Sure! But it’ll also cost me, so this compilation is the next best thing.
Long story short, great work Armada! -
Why oh why do we need radio edits? Armada cashing in on the latest trend of (re)releasing trance classics on vinyl (see The Thrillseekers' Retrospect (4) series). If you want to listen to radio edits you can go to YouTube/Spotify.
Armada took time to license these tracks, but it is such a missed opportunity. -

☝️☝️ Aaaaaand right on cue the complaints on radio edits are pouring on in. 🤣😂🤣
OG Review: This has not arrived at my doorstep yet BUT going off the tracklist alone, "Trance Legacy" has got to be one of if not THE most comprehensive assortment of essential trance radio cuts I have ever seen assembled together and in one compilation. BRAVO to whoever selected these tracks. 👏👏👏👏 ALL were enormous hits when new and ALL are truly part of the legacy that is Trance all these years later.
What you have here are many cuts that have never made its way onto vinyl before and the ones that have are up there in price so this really gives an ecclectic variety of some great tunes. This is not the same 20-30 cuts of various tracks you see regurgitated over and over again on other modern day compilations but instead lots of thought was put into this release...and it shows. I especially appreciate that ever track really is a classic Trance track and not what many have rebranded as "Trance" in the present day. There are no fillers here and with exception of just a few, they really stuck with the late 90's - early 2000's sound which otherwise has been a black hole in recent vinyl releases.
I know there are going to be many haters because these are edits and not the full mixes however most of these tracks I heard myself on the radio before ever stepping foot into a club all those years ago and so in many ways these resonate with me as the original mixes.
Every track is a winner and my God we get the Alphazone cut of Saltwater's "Legacy" to round out this wonderful release!! WOW 👌
Fingers crossed it sounds awesome with modern day mastering and toes crossed that this is only a Part 1. I will post a list of other tracks that should be on the next hopeful round because I know TPTB pop in here from time to time to read what people are saying. Having said this, curious what tracks others think should be on potential future releases??
