Just realised no-one's mentioned the tracks were switched (or the labels were wrong, whichever); the A side is Subway (with Dom), AA is Killamanjaro (with Nico)

Im going to risk being an outsider in my comments on this plate here and say that Killamanjaro is the tune for me. Its so atmospheric and unique in how its made. This is somber minimal future music, those filters really add a subtle flavor to the mix. The restraint shown here by Ed shines well, its just got a special somewhat lonely, urban decay feeling to it...

"Subway" was my introduction to Ed Rush and his sound, thanks to Grooverider's "Prototype Years" compilation. What a bassline! And the dark moody atmosphere...a great time for the music before it got frantic and manic at the end of the century.

Agree with the others, Subway is a killer tune. The minimalistic yet intelligent break patterns at around 3:00 and 4:00 are just genius and the jazz background contrasts so well with the "dark" side of this tune as the others pointed out. Got to hear this in a dark club with a proper soundsystem!

No Review?!?!? This release was 'Kin huge!!!! The a side was a great track but the real killer was Subway! So dark yet jazzy at the same time, totally in a league of it's own!
