Is this the first rap record? Could be.
Adriano Celentano probably never would have imagined the impact of this single. "Prisencolinensinainciusol" was written in some kind of fantasy language that only resembled some American English. By making the title almost unpronounceable and setting himself as a school teacher, it is as if a class of school children is learning the language.
Of course, Adriano had to explain what kind of language this was, as no-one seemed to understand the lyrics.
"So you do not understand? Congratulations! You got the message!
Because it does not matter in what language you are talking; all that matters is that you speak up!"
And then there is the backing track.
The groove and the recurring horn melody are catchy as ... (fill in yourself).
