I'm one of those weirdos who never really got into XTC, except for SKYLARKING and the Dukes of Stratosphear stuff. That said, I absolutely love this album, and I'm surprised by how good this pressing sounds. I always thought the Geffen CD sounded a bit harsh. This is an earlier US pressing, with "Mermaid Smiled", and it certainly fits in better with the overall vibe of this record than "Dear God" does. My copy is in terrific shape, and I really don't see a reason to one of the Ape House reissues.
