Edited 2 months agoA few crackles and its warped a bit but nothing major, however the highs are all distorted. Sibilance and a lot of the highs are getting crushed around those frequencies. After listening to the beautiful digital version, the distortions on the LP kind of ruin too much to make any sense. Maybe don't take the chance on it... -
Purchased my copy at Urban Outfitters, and it plays extremely clean. I am sorry to hear others got bad press. Must have been certain lots.

I took a chance on this and now sorry that I did. Only a slight bit of warp and looked to be perfectly clean, but starting off side 1 sounds like I have a crackling fire in the background. Never done this before but I'm going to see if my local record store will take this back as defective. It pains me to listen to it. -
I have had 2 copies now and both were warped to the point of actually being concave. Very crackly too, especially on the b-side. My vacuum cleaner couldn't improve either of them

my copy sounds great, no surface noise and mastered well. slight warp but it doesn't affect play

Lots of crackle and pop on both sides (especially bad on the first track). Cleaned it twice with my vacuum cleaner but no improvement.

Edited 3 years agoVery obviously needed a clean straight out of the sleeve before playing (loads of residue all over the place) but thankfully that has brought it back within the realms of acceptance! Slight warp, wee bit of surface noise, but nicely mastered. Overall, no complaints really.
Mine is MPO, as is my copy of Designer, which I've always thought sounded great. #lucky! -
I’ve played this record about 7 times now and my stylus is still picking up a weird gunk or lint type substance.
I have to clear the needle after each track or else it start getting distorted. It’s so weird because I didn’t notice it happening on the first listen.
Anyone else experienced this before on a new record? -
I have the EU version pressed at MPO and it's flat, centered and plays clean. Great album, my favourite so far. -
