Insane album. Feels like the whole earth revolves around it. One of her most grand and orchestral albums. The fact that this near perfect album isn't even her best shows how insane her music is. 90s music that feels like it was made yesterday.

Good lord, I have been thinking about reintroducing myself to older Bjork titles via new vinyl pressings, but with the exception of original pressings or the DMM efforts from the late aughts, the recent batch of "limited" pressings vinyl titles are hilariously bad overall. 5000 copies each of crap all going on sale at once is making a great big thudding sound: THWACK goes the kiddie vinyl boom and bust. I love records and have bought and sold since the early eighties. But there is a money grab going on right now that is hollowing out the reputation of artists, catalogs, pressing plants, and record stores. Too much crap being turned out.
Crackling, sibilant tendencies, warping, questionable sources, colors that don't even harmonize with jackets (that's a pet gripe: are record buyers such suckers that they will by any damn-ass colored edition even if it is shit quality from GZ and doesn't even CONTRAST with the cover and insert art), bad mastering, unnecessary second discs.
No thanks, I will just get the best recordings on CD I can and enjoy her art as is. She was an early adopter of digital electronics anyhow and I wonder how much of her tracking ever happened on tape to begin with. Sure they may do a master to reel but tracking? -
