Edited 3 months agoI REALLY like this version. Flat, clean (when washed) and quiet vinyl for starters. The remix makes the 2015 remaster sound rather flat and breathes BIG LIFE into this classic record. The AAA snobs wont be able to accept this version but they are an odd bunch best left to their own devices!

John's vocals are stunningly beautiful, out front and clear and dynamic. I have always thought that Imagine had the most beautiful musical melodies of any of John's solo albums. -
Excellent pressing, highly recommended. My copy is flat and dead silent. Plus, the white vinyl fits this record and looks great. -
Surprisingly good job from Optimal. Both discs are mostly quiet, totally flat and sound great. -
Disappointed that this double LP isn't housed in a gatefold. Not sure whether other editions have, i can't be bothered to check. But for a 50th anniversary, they should have gone the extra mile. -
Great edition. Far better than the 2018 black, which was fairly noisy and uneven. Discs are flat and wax is quiet. Recommended! -

Can anyone clear up the whether this release actually has take 25 of I Don't Wanna Be a Soldier? Or is it like the 2018 clear vinyl in that it's actually take 11?
