This album apparently is a collection of songs that Jones had made for release, consisting of previously released material. I don't think anyone can be sure that Staalplaat isn't simply regurgitating music under a false pretense that Muslimgauze had meant it to be a release, which seems to be a common theme with many of the recent Muslimgauze releases. And frankly, if Bryn Jones really had made this mix-tape for eventual release, who cares? Does that really justify pumping out unnecessary duplicates of songs fans already have? Why not re-issue older albums containing these songs instead of tricking fans, old and new, into buying glorified compilations?
For a good example of what I mean, there is a new pre-order for 'Kaliskinazure Tape 5,' in which the songs currently available on Bandcamp are literally just songs already in my collection, only under new names. I'm not convinced that Staalplaat isn't making these releases deliberately to continue cashing in on a big name.
