Paragliders – Paragliders EP

Paraglide is interesting for a minute, then becomes very repetitive, except some filtering it is the same arp pattern being played all through the track.
Listening through Lieb's output as Paragliders I don't think I have ever heard he change the key of the bassline during any of the tracks.

There is a good amount of pumping rhythmic structure, there's plenty of spheres, arpeggios all over, a piano track, hall & reverb, there are war drum breaks and a driving vocal sample - this is quintessential and mature Trance Music. Beautiful and just timeless. Ranks with the likes of Kid Paul's Café del Mar and Velocity's Future

This record takes me back to my youth. I used to drive homewards late at night by bicycle after visiting a friend who lived outside the city. One of these nights ‘Paragliders’ sounded through my walkman’s headset when I, once again, was riding back home. While ing picturesque little farms and sleeping cattle, the fragrance of ground and trees and the feel of rural air cooled down by the night touched my senses. The moon high above, covering the landscape with a mysterious, fairy-like lustre. What beautiful setting illustrated this beautiful work of music that night. Everything fell together in a unique, almost unreal way. Very intense memories indeed.

This is for sure the best trance record I ever heard. The piano-loop in this song is very catchy and the beats are worked out so strong and powerful that it takes you away. This is what trance must be - Lieb takes you with him to another level ...
