Top notch sound. Very spacious with lots of reverb. I like the fact that they re-created the original size and packaging. This was restocked in 2025 and my copy is very quiet and clean sounding.

Must have got one of the bad batch . The vinyl is so noisy with clicks and pops that I don't play it anymore .
All my other Sam releases are fantastic . -
I don’t know why people commonly regurgitate that SAM records are AAA or “cut from tape” - nowhere do they ever use explicit language like this. And it’s very deliberate. Did you all learn nothing from MoFi?

I can attest this particular pressing from Sam's label is a top notch quality one ! Absolutely sensational album. You'll be deeply immersed with the music, background is very black, quiet, very "imaginary", hard to describe with my limited vocab. Same feelings when I first listened to Chet baker's AP album, KOB UHQR, Bill evans AP.
You owe yourself a treat for this album, in term of music & SQ.

Had to return 2 of them to get a good copy. Clicks and noise throughout. Speaking to Fred, most of these issues have been fixed on subsequent re-pressings. I also own the now well-known Music On Vinyl 2LP 12" pressing from 2011, this one was DSD256 to lacquer lathe, and has slowly become a 'standard to rate against' of this particular album in recent times, and honestly cannot say Sam's is better than it, even with Sam's reportedly being pure AAA.

Um wow. I think I've only really heard these tracks in the film itself and they're great they're but this is something else. Great pressing, incredible to hear this mix in such detail. It's a bit unlike what's become traditional, but I love the balance. Amazing album and thank you Sam for such a great treatment.

What an amazing release from Sam records. Sound quality, pressing, small packaging - everything is top notch! My personal favorite Miles album. I’m sure some tracks were definitively inspiration for Angelo Badalamenti when he worked on Twin Peaks soundtrack.
