The tunes on this record were massive in the UK when they first appeared, but in an understated way by those following this particular style more closely. Through the early to mid 1990s they always appeared in Techno sets. Both the Pete The Lodger records and more widely the Peacefrog Records label. Often being heavily rotated at the Lost parties (run by Steve Bicknell) and Knowledge parties (Colin Faver, Colin Dale, Loftgroover, Warlock, Alex Hazzard etc) in London and sometimes would even appear in the more UK Hardcore DJs' sets too. DJ Easygroove or Aztek come to mind, they would frequently pitch them up a few notches with the harder Techno material or the faster breakbeat side of things. Also, more often at the free party circuit. They need to be in your box if you followed the early 1990s second wave Acid House Acid Techno movement. Many punters were becoming jaded with the over the top anthemic tunes and craved something more trippy and subtle for a change, these releases captured that time I think.
Trivia: There were several market stalls in Camden Town that sold various mixtapes (unofficially, Camden Market Mixtapes) of DJ sets (some well known sets, others much more obscure, some dodgy bootlegs others direct from the source) you often used to find Pete The Lodger and other Peacefrog artists' tunes in the mixes and then you'll go on manic search missions at the record stores trying to find what you've recently heard. Even better when you'd subsequently heard those tunes at the clubs you partied at. Great times. -
This record is awesome. Really good acid house and acidy techno. Sounds just as good 30 years later as some of the best acid records of the last 5 years.

4 tracks of great acid, a must have for every acid head. I wish to hear this in a club one day, I bet it would drive the crowd mad.
