Pretty mid pressing, some clicks here and there but like the previous review, nothing distracting. Soundstage should really have been more open for the crescendo of the many instruments. Glad to have the White flexi disc since King Crimson is an all time fave, but otherwise I'm not super thrilled on the quality of this pressing.

Mine has a few clicks here and there but nothing hugely distracting. Good pressing overall, engaging sound happy enough with this one. Won't play the white disc though seems too thin and don't want to screw up my needle incase it fails to track it.
-
Unlike many others here, my pressing sounds very good. No complaints at all. I also have the picture disc, and it is extremely noisy in comparison.

Edited 3 years agoIt's terrible that some of the copies out there turned out to be bad. Mine is pretty good; a few static types of clicks every now and then especially in the quiet parts, but nothing really bad, and the record looks very clean. I'm relatively satisfied.

Edited 3 years agoA horrendous pressing. Possibly the worst I have encountered in recent years. right out of the sleeve, there was one dignosial scratch on Side B. it gives a constant ticks on B3. Side A doesn't have that noticeable scratch but has a few marks, which gives ticks and pops here and there.
Even after vacuuming, it didn't give any improvement. I will have a replacement but I don't see the replacement would be significantly better.
SQ wise, it's not the worst but nowhere close to a good sounding albums. which is really disappointing. I don't know what is the main problem. Mixing could be the one factor. This record could have been recorded in this way but Tidal stream by Chromecast Audio has a better SQ. My blame goes to the engineers involved in maserting and cutting. IMHO, Bazza or Golden team could be the best for this album.

Pressing is terrible. Loads of crackles and pops.Ive got the picture disc too and that sounds a lot better which tells you how bad this is. RT should ashamed of themselves.

I'm surprised people are buying this for $60+, I didn't realize there was that much demand for the flexidisc
-
A wonderful LP and a magnificent 7'' flexi disc. They definitely had a lot of respect for King Crimson when recording the cover
