I have unfortunately gone through 2 new copies of this album and both of them have significant crackle on them straight out the seal. The vinyl looks fine, even appearing reflective and glossy, but when I spin it it sounds like there's been serious build up on it. (yes I know the base music has added crackle) Has anyone else experienced this or did I just get 2 bad copies? The music is great but that goes without saying.

Edited 9 months agoYou really have to crank this to pick up every little sublime nuance of the production work. When you do it’s an extremely immersive - and disorienting-listening experience. Not something you can play at low volume and appreciate the same way. I personally think the successor to this, “Bliss…” is superior, side A on this doesn’t do a lot for me but the B side is magic.

Edited 9 months agoCan categorically say this is Kirby's best album imo and I find it hard it to be topped.
Music has provided me with a variety of feelings over the years but this truly haunted me like no other record before it. Why I chose to listen to this in the dead of night, I don't know, but I had physical goosebumps and a reaction that truthfully freaked me out during 'Long Term (Remote)', I can't even listen to that song without preparing myself.
Beauty is in the ear of the beholder.
