A stark reminder of the edge that got the world interested in who Snoop Dogg was. I haven't heard a U.S. emcee introduced in Jamaica on a record other than on the "B.I.G. Live In Jamaica" intro off Biggie"s "Duets" (a record which Snoop dropped a lazy verse on "Livin' Tha Life") and the energy from that performance to this full-fledged LP lingers. There's something special about Hip-Hop performances being recorded in Jamaica, and it's an excellent thing that this performance has been archived in this fashion of Snoop performing a litany of his greatest hits before 2000 when his character became more important than his content on wax.
