This is a dogs**t bootleg. Scorn it and those who sell this trash-- for $40, hah hah. If you're so bad at business you have to try to sneak this garbage into your Discogs store, maybe you should find another occupation? Or maybe you'll "make up for it" and offer Swans free room and board when they come to your city? If you care about Swans music, Young God Records, Mute and shops that sell their in-print releases legitimately. Signed, A Music Fan Who Respects Musicians

Better quality than I anticipated
Flat, centered and no excessive surface noise. Sounds slightly compressed and missing some low end. This will do until an official repress! -
Yeah this is not a bad pressing for a bootleg. Until we finally get a repress from young god records this will have to do. It doesn’t sound incredible but its not very noisy and you can crank it up for that bludgeoning in your face sound you’re looking for.

It's actually not that bad of a pressing if I'm being completely honest. I bought it on eBay thinking it was old stock but by the time it came and I threw it on the turntable I knew it was a bootleg. There's some weird marks and bubbles on the disc itself but it doesn't really affect play. The sleeve and inner look pretty decent (not perfect, you can tell it isn't legit but it still looks quite good). I cleaned the shit out of it before listening and it sounds pretty good too. I have several albums that sound awful compared to this. It has quite a lot of crackling and noise between tracks, but as soon as the music starts you can't tell it's there at all. It has well rounded mastering (slightly compressed and less bass from what I can tell), it sounds competently pressed and it works for the music. If you find a cheap copy of this album somewhere it's probably this pressing, and honestly if you're not willing to pay like a million dollars for a legit copy then this should be enough to make you happy. It's probably not as good as the original but it sounds fine to me.
