This is a remarkable album. The moody soundscapes conjured by Pete Bardens perfectly suit the vocals of Richard Sinclair, who also enlivens proceedings by bringing more of a jazz fusion edge with his bass, while the melodies alternate between haunting and upbeat but are never less than compelling. Docked a notch for the dreadful Highways Of The Sun (put down the microphone, Andy) yet still leagues above the flabby, overproduced follow-up Breathless. To me, this is Camel.

It's a progressive rock album in which we find a very good instrumental groovy "One of these days I'll get an early night".
