Another repress of: The Cure - Disintegration
This seems to be a 2020 pressing based off of the ID code stamped onto the Matrix / Runout, very similar to: The Cure - Disintegration. The 2020 EU pressing (pressed by MPO like this one) has the ID code: [MPO logo] 20 15xxxx (side A and B), [MPO logo] 20 16xxxx (side C and D). This release has: [MPO logo] 20 18xxxx (side A and B), [MPO logo] 20 19xxxx (Side C and D). That would suggest that this is a later variation of the 2020 EU pressing except this version has different text, different colour on the labels, different barcode and says "Made in " instead of "Made in the EU".
The barcode is the same as the 2010 US pressing: The Cure - Disintegration.
Issued on Polydor like the EU pressing.
No label code (LC) can be found unlike the EU pressing

Sounds great, and for $22 at Best Buy can't complain about a bit of distortion at the end of Fascination St. -
Completely satisfied with my 2020 reissue. Made In sticker on rear cover. Very full and lush sound throughout. Flat pressing with zero surface noise. No pre-cleaning needed on my copy. Nice reproduction of the artwork on a sturdy gatefold cover. Includes card stock printed inner sleeves. Can’t go wrong with this one. -
Every person involved in the remastering of this almost perfect album should start thinking about a different career. Probably the worst sounding remastered digital albums I've ever heard. Good lord.

My pressing sounds amazing. No surprises but this is my favourite Cure record and this sounds super lush. Happy with it. -
Edited one year agoWonderful pressing! It sounds great to me. It is quite bass heavy, but imo it helps the album feel more interesting (like you are sinking into the sound). The surface noise is only slightly noticeable between songs. The packaging is amazing, with heavy vinyl and a thick gatfold sleeve. Overall, I highly recommend this pressing! 😁✌️ -
Bah, still sounds like it was recorded on a cassette tape player in a sleeping bag. Now with clicks and pops! -
i'm glad i'm not the only one noticing the inner groove distortion in this pressing. side A was pretty noisy, side B sounded great until the last track and the rest sounds fine. not an optimal pressing by any means but very happy to have this in my collection regardless. -
I’ve never owned an original, but my god this pressing sounds wonderful to my ears. Very lively and dynamic mastering.
