Found a place still sounds great. Anyone notice it's got an odd number of beats in the beginning section before the piano is introduced? Makes it tricky to mix.

Edited 10 years agoMassive Ripoff of Basic Channel Phyllyps track ii almost sounds like it should be titled '(Radio Slave interpretation)

Only discovered Found A Place yesterday, how on earth did I overlook this for so long? Incredible piece of music, simplistic and by no means a new idea but it just works so well. Hats off to Mr. Lionni!

Has anyone else noticed the grooves on this record are a bit strange (in a good way)? For instance, on "Found A Place" the last part of the record has a repetitive pattern in the grooves, while the intensity of the track clearly decreases. Does the cutter have control over this?

"Found A Place" by Tony Lionni summarizes all gimmicks featured in the coolest house or techno tunes produced around late 00's/early 10s (and somehow in the deepest dubstep and bass music too) : equally anthemic and hypnotic purposes, echoes all around, old-school-sounding euphoric piano sequences paying homage to early Chicago and Detroit, very balanced production and sound-design, THOSE obsessive mantra-like cut-up girl voices snippets, fluid and perfectly mastered dynamic progression : in my book, an examplary quality club track of its era.
