The music is top level, but the artwork is so ugly. I wish they had an alternate artwork from a rerelease.

I am very critical and have a huge collection of ambient/electronic s.this cd is very good and is not something to be played once and then filed.

Edited 12 months agoBEST TO BE LISTENED ON A DECENT SYSTEM FOR A BETTER EXPERIENCE!
Three interlinked tracks takes the listener on a journey into adventurous tech sounds as Namlook & Atom TM again further push the boundaries of electronic ambient into uncharted, interesting, and even challenging areas!
Track 1 brings a complex blend of micro-techno/Idm/breaks even though they can't be pigeon holed in these genres but can relate to them. The album starts with a complex sounding track with plenty of mathematical patterns that pierce, swirl, shuffle with abstract precision stringing together rapid beats, tight dis-ted rhythms and bass tones and hi-tech AI like micro computerised effects with moments of spacey ambient bringing a calmness...Track 2 is a very quiet and drifting almost beatless in style in a space ambient way though a slow gradual unfolding development keep the ambient interesting and engaging as droning hums and elements of microscopic effects filter through as do the subtle loop patterns which emerge from the ambient immersing you with a feeling of loneliness as if you were drifting further away from earth into the empty darkness of outer space! ...Track 3 brings a combination of tracks 1&2 yet experimental in its own way! Complex patterns using sounds which again can't be simply pigeon-holed or classified into one general genre; even though these sounds and patterns can be related and linked to minimalism, glitch, techno/Idm, breaks, and even stripped down bass music delivering a deep, calming, mind altering listen bringing both a sense of tranquillity alien and darkness in the same track and maybe even most difficult track on the album!
JCII is ambient-music that moves away from the wishy-washy ambient and safe downtempo music already out there and bravely delivers ambien-musict bringing a uniqueness to this album that has stood the test of time.
