Great record , sounds fine to me. An excellent pressing . You guys and girls in USA are buying this at a very low price. It’s for sale on Amazon uk and eBay uk for at least double your dollar price.

First of all, killer music
As for the pressing, at least my copy on my system, it sounds great. It doesn’t have the dynamics of an audiophile release but why should it, it’s a modern day ~20 dollar album. Mine had no scratches and minimal pops. -

Edited 8 months agoExcellent pressing of an excellent album. Every once in a while an artist and a piece of their work come along with something so well done that even someone who can’t stand that genre has to say “wow, that is really good music”, and this is definitely one of those. Maybe you’ve heard of Billy, maybe you haven’t, but this is the best place to start and it’s considered his best work to date. An incredible guitar player with a feel and musical sense that only comes along once (if that) in a generation. Definitely worth a listen, and definitely worth having in any music lover’s collection.

I was hesitant because of the negative Discogs reviews but finally pulled the trigger on this and I'm glad I did. Stupid price ($13.75) for great music and it's a double LP so kind of a no brainer. I can overlook a few pops and somewhat dull mastering for what I paid. There is some edge warp on LP2 but it doesn't affect the playback. The music is just so damn good. Overall I'm happy with this pressing

Got this on crazy discount. Sounds ok, nothing special but not some audio file masterpiece. Some slight noise and what not , which is all too common for modern mass releases, but nothing egregious here. I’m happy overall for a first pressing on a great album

I concur with the others who got a bad copy. Mine also came out of a sealed jacket scratched on side b and had to be returned and it’s a shame because content wise, it’s mind blowing how good the talent is being displayed here. It’s very easy to hear why it won the awards that it did. It’s a phenomenal record and I can’t wait to get a copy that isn’t sub par quality as I feel this could easily become one of my favorite records even though I don’t really get into Blugrass..

Ordered my copy direct from BillyStrings.com, minor edge warp on both LPs, otherwise sound fine. 4/5

Very fun record, and I’m only speaking for myself when I say this press sounds great! A shame that others seem to have issues. On my Polk Audio bookshelves with my pioneer SX650 it comes through clear and clean.
