Arena celebrated their 10th anniversary with Pepper’s Ghost. The concept of the album must have something to do with the comic book in the booklet, but have a magnifying glass handy if you intend to read the text. There’s still plenty of heavy guitar on this one, but it’s all in service of epic symphonic prog tracks with huge vocal choruses and lots of keyboard leads. Arena may have begun as an offshoot of early Marillion, but with this lineup, they have come into their own.
