i don't care for the majority of atom heart's work, but there are some exceptions, and the exceptions are usually albums that i really like quite a lot. one example of an album i like very, very much is 'datacide - flowerhead.' another example is this album: wonderful ambient which i my opinion is equal to the best of the FAX ambient releases.

A truly genius work from him.It's so simple and beautiful.Higly recommended to listen on ears(not to loud) at night.I wonder why Namlook didn't release this on Ambient World label.In my opinion this is one of the best Fax cd's,and some kind of a litlle hidden gem on Fax catalogue,but I don't know why.

Edited 11 years agoThis was a busy release year for Atom Heart. On Fax alone he had 3 full length cds. This one is my favourite maybe because its a live recording and closer to the heart's core! I have no idea if this was actually recorded live in one take but either way this amazing creative recording drones, bleeps, echoes, submerges, pulses and glows. It is raw machine and atom structuring but it has so much feeling in it and goes galaxies beyond its programming. Its rarely cold or abstract. Similar to his track "Friendly Cortex" this longer mix creates a mood that is warm,tender and fragile...not something atom heart explored for extended periods. This isn't mindless button tweaking but involved expression through sound. Fantastic and magnetic!
