Lovely album, good enough pressing, kinda hate the lyrics being written in the gatefold but it is fine. The sound quality is nothing to write home about, sounds pretty good, but nothing that will blow you away.

One of my favorite albums of all time. On the first spin, 95% of the album sounded amazing with one bit of skipping during "wish you were gay."

Edited one year agoThis album is amazing. Zero surface noise. Rich enveloping sound. Incredible bass. I wasn’t initially a fan of the pale yellow vinyl, but it’s grown on me, especially given the quality of the pressing. This is often the album I turn to when I want a quick reminder of just how good vinyl can sound compared with, say, streaming on Spotify.

Such a wide and expansive sound. Mine is completely quiet with no surface noise. Not the best color choice for the vinyl but the timeless songs make up for it 😁

Not sure what others got but mine is absolutely silent. No surface noise at all and all I did was run my anti static on it before I played the record. The records sound is very bassy and crisp, full and dynamic. She sounds incredible and I'm so happy to finally have this on vinyl. The pale yellow is also a great color.

Picked up a copy at the recent best buy sale for $9. Shocked at the quality of this record. Very flat and centered pressing, but pretty silent without a cleaning. Probably the "bassiest" record I own and a really quiet noise floor. They did a really good job with the mastering if this record.
For a mass produced colored vinyl and a record that was recorded in their bedroom. It's shocking how most modern records don't sound this great. -
I'm currently listening at it for the first time and it sounds amazing. Almost no surface noises, just a couple of pops out there but I'll give it a try with a deeper cleaning. Overall a very nice pressing, worth it's price. I'm quite surprised by it's quality.
As for the bass-heavy subject, it was supposed to be that way. Take it or leave it; you'll definitely enjoy it the best with a higher-end sound system. -
Edited 2 years agoNot a good pressing. Post-cleaning, my copy is littered with indelible surface noise, an absurd preponderance of bass, lots of IGD. This is not a great sounding album on my system. (SOTA Star Sapphire, Soundsmith Hyperion, Origin Live Silver mkIII, Musical Fidelity VINYL phono preamp, Genesis III w/ dual Genesis Servo12 subs). The songs are well-crafted and very enjoyable, but the production, mastering, and physical product quality leave too much to be desired. One day this will be remixed, remastered, and repressed.

I'm surprised with the sound quality! It sounds really, really good! Must have if you love bass! But my only complain is in the song "Xanny" has a tick tick sound which is kinda annoying from my copy...
