Edited 2 years agoThis is apparently made with the same stampers as the first pressing and is Therefore as close as you’re gonna get without ponying up for a 2 eye made 6 months earlier.
Nothing to compare it to but the legacy 2-cd remix from the late 90s/early 2000s.
Sounds big and spooky, probably part authorial intent and probably partly due to the technical limitations of being a large live-in studio band that was then chopped up/copied/filtered a million different ways, as there is a slightly washed out ethereal tint.
Gottta say I’m happy with this as my primary listening medium for this album. -
