Signer – Low Light Dreams

This album found me occasionally in 2005 as a CD gift by vinyl record shop. I listened to it from time to time until it became unaudible. Many things ed since that time, born of my son, my dad's death. Today I got it on vinyl (even new copy) and listen to right now. You know it is rare lp that has so many great tracks. So deep and personal for me. And it is winter again like when I heard it for the first time.

Listening to this album right now, here at my home in Christchurch, New Zealand. It's 5:53 pm and the sun has just departed, leaving the earth dreched in the cloak of night. This album is so lush and deep, so minimal and spacey. Truly beautiful. Low Light Dreams is definitely an album that one should not consciously attempt to physically or emotionally engage with; rather, it is a musical masterpiece that one has to sit back and soak up, letting every drum beat and soaring string caress the mind. Adopting this more ive stance allows the listener to let the thoughts in his or her mind to arise freely and spontaneously, like leaves circulating within a current of wind. I do enjoy music, and I do a great deal.
