🔥🔥🔥!!! This is an EPIC stooges collection. Vinyl quality, packaging and sound are excellent. Lots of love and care went into to this by the Run Out Groove crew!!!

Edited one year agoIf you’re a fan of Funhouse (peak Stooges imo. Raw Power wasn’t the same band without Zander, and with Ron on bass and barely audible in the Bowie mix that was the only mix until Iggy remixed it in ‘97, which I prefer, but it’s not perfect. I hear the VMP one is great. I digress)
This is like sitting in on the live sessions for the album. These aren’t substandard outtakes that hit the cutting room floor for an obvious reason. They might have a mistake or two or jam a bit longer or Iggy’s vocal isn’t completely perfect, but these are all great and really flow as a powerful album. You are right in that groove with them and it is glorious. This might sound better than my pressing of Funhouse! Definitely a must have for listeners who worship that album. Well done Run Out Groove -
Amazing sounding pressing, and the alternative takes SLAP. I own Funhouse on CD and Vinyl, and I didn't think I wanted this but picked it up on a whim... and it's the best pressing I've heard yet of anything having to do with the Funhouse sessions. If you're a Stooges fan, this is essential.

Edited 2 years agoPicked this up a few days ago, WOW! This is really good , nobody came close to the energy that the Stooges brought in May of 1970, The Stooges were combining psychedelic rock, punk and free jazz (Albert Ayler style) into a one of kind album, these sessions are actually more enjoyable than the official release, the sound is live in the studio and it really is as if they are in the room with you, much better than the 2 cd set expanded edition. The cuts they picked and the sequence gives u the feeling of an official release , every cut is a winner!
The vinyl is flat, silent and clean , super nice pressing, well worth it at $50 , Funhouse is def one of the most important albums to come out of the 70s and these sessions are just as essential, great stuff! -
Finally got around to listening to this, and it sounds fantastic! Like being in the room during their jam sessions! Great packaging and tigers eye colored discs.

Got a low numbered disc recently and had all of the correct discs. Absolutely fantastic album and pressing. Would love more session releases for the other two albums but a guy can dream.

I've owned the original Fun House since the '80s. The expanded CD for years. This double album is an essential supplement to the original album. I've heard the "full sessions" and it is excessive.

Got this in the mail today from my pre-order. It's a wonderful-sounding pressing, and they did a great job of picking out the best alternate takes from the original box set.
I still dream some day of a 10xLP set with the complete Fun House sessions, but this is great in the meantime.
