I used to be an addict. Vinyl records and mixing were all that mattered. I ran out of space and even stared to sell some. Building a digital collection instead. This week I bought my first vinyl in years. Yes, Smoke signals, on wax. Already had digital release but I ached to mix the tracks together and get an analogue fix. Plus any royalties to the producer are richly deserved.

Other reviews give a nod towards the brilliance of this release. Its a musical masterpiece for the discerning listener. To be listened to through a good quality sound system or better yet top notch headphones. The atmospheric sounds are immersive and all the sounds and samples blend into each other perfectly. Intricately. Not a weak track on the entire album.

This album should appeal to anyone who appreciates intelligent electronic music with a lean towards the darker deeper side. it defines this particular style of D&B. I have played this so many times I should be piss bored of it, yet, I still cant get enough of it. My favourite release last year and one of the best produced D&B albums in the last 10 years in my opinion 'Rivers edge' still gives me goosebumps and 'travelling without moving' kinda sums up how I feel when Im listening to the album.

So go forth and purchase. This is a future classic.
