Anyone else has the sticker version : 'Coldplay X&Y, 'The best band in the world', Q magazine 4747861'?
Matrix numbers are matching. Thanks! -
Just found a sealed copy of this bad boy for $45 in a lowkey but fantastic record shop in LA. My first copy of this album was the 2008 Capitol pressing over a decade ago, and that was always a reliable copy with the same slipcase and poster as part of the package, and it always sounded great to me.
That being said, this copy has blown the roof off of the Capitol pressing. I have the concentric indented circles in the middle with the Made In Holland sticker on the back to validate this is an OG EU release. These are flat discs with cornered edges and a stunning pressing quality. The soundstage and dynamics are beyond fantastic, wow! I feel that the mastering of this pressing is top quality and truly captures how the album is meant to be heard. There is minimal surface noise that I sometimes detect between songs, but it’s not a bother and there are no skips or scratches. Simply put, another case of Parlophone magic at its best. -
Absolute great packaging, good quality printings, the poster looks great and of thick paper quality. The design is very nice.
Soundwise (listened on SL1500 with red ortofon), the overall sound is great, without hissing or other default. The sound is well balanced although overall it seems to lack dynamics (only listened to it once so far). -
Does anybody else have this 2005 Parlophone release with concentric indented circles on the labels instead of them being flat? My copy comes in the 2005 box featuring the NME Ringtone Text number sticker and also matches up with the matrix of this release yet it has completely a different label surface.

Sound is average, which is a shame, considering it's a lovely album.

I have a US(I think) copy, with EMI, Parlophone, and Atlantic labels, NOT Capital, but I don't see that here. What gives? Which version do I have? It also skips like a bastard, even though I got it brand new, sealed from B&N last night.

I have a Parlophone version of X&Y, but it's not a box set. It's just a gatefold with the same info and no barcode on the back. Is this really a box set? It's the only Parlophone vinyl for this release.
