Notes
B: Recorded at Solid Sound, Ann Arbor, MI. Courtesy of Concord Music Group, Inc. From the Fantasy CD "Clear" (FCD-4537).
Even though track B states "Original 1983 Version", it is actually the more familiar original Jose 'Animal' Diaz 12 inch remix instead, not the more obscure original 1983 version which appeared only on the very first pressing of the album. The tracklisting on this entry has been amended to reflect and reference the correct track / version.

Edited 7 years agoThe Troy Pierce remix is very cool, a steady moody dark Techno piece with definite hints at Kraftwerk let lone Cybotron.
The bassline is understated but very menacing.
Lots of nice touches. It's not gonna appeal to fans of the original of course, this is a dark 4/4 rework without the '83 funk.
Very spacey, very minimal. Definitely one to mix into tracks by The Hacker etc.
On the b-side, you get the "original" '83 remix. Crisp, precise, clear. It's been discussed below in great detail.
Electro classic. -
The original version of this song is the proper evidence into the faces of people who are still insisting that electronic music tracks are just one day hits. After all these years it sounds as fresh and new, like it did when it was first released, and it still beats anything in the genre and beyond it. A perfect example of the timeless electronic classic. Even if it was the only track of Cybotron, it would be enough to establish his current "Godfather of Techno" status.
