The Jam – Strange Town

There's a misspress of this which has 'Butterfly Collector' on both sides. In my infinite wisdom as a teenager I bought a copy & took it back & replaced it for a correct version. If that was the only copy :-(

Am I going mad about this release but back in 1979 when this single was released I was absolutely thrilled to find it was a yellow coloured vinyl 'Strange Town/Butterfly Collector' I know it wasn't a release from the UK but the list of releases above doesn't show all the attributes of the 7" I had i.e. Picture Sleeve, Yellow Vinyl, UK Release, can anyone shed any light on it?

this has slightly different "(p)1979 POLYDOR LTD U.K." graphic layout on the label to the other similar version. (see images)

"Strange Town" (9122) is the A side; "Tjhe Butterfly Collector" (9123) the B.

This is harder to find than the Italian Eton Rifles

Hi Jam collectors. I need help with an Irish pressing of this release. The one I have it´s not the same as this one and it´s very rare the fact of two different Jam Irish pressings. First of all the one I have has printed sleeve (just like the UK, French, etc..) so no red Polydor sleeve. Also the matrix number is a bit different:
Side A: POSP 34 A // 2 E STR 12 L STRAWBERRY
Side B: POSP 34 B // 2 E STR 12 L STRAWBERRY

And the last curiosity is that the "B side" box that should say "B side" is empty.

This is French not UK, so why is it down as UK. The made in copy for the UK is already listed

This would appear to be the 1983 issue from the batch of re-issues.
