This compilation was also released in and the Netherlands as "The Very Best Of ABBA (ABBA's Greatest Hits)", with the order of the vinyl sides inverted and different cover art.
On which release the 'backwards B' ABBA logo first appeared is unclear. The "Dancing Queen" single, with the new logo, was officially released 16 August 1976, but chart positions suggest the single came out in the Netherlands, West and Switzerland in the last few days of July 1976. The "Golden Double Album" compilation also featured the new logo and was officially released 26 August 1976, but was apparently released in Belgium in late July 1976.

Edited 8 years agoIch have this one with a factory printed little rectangle at the bottom of backside. In the rectangle stands:
ABBA FAN CLUB B.P. 14 75561 PARIS CEDEX 12
On the top right back is written VG 308 400685
The Number 400685 is also on spine. -
This is like an alternative to the standard abba greatest hits with a different choice of album tracks. I've found it to be an excellent quality pressing. Very dynamic and sounds better than their original studio pressings, in my opinion.
