From a rolling stone interview with Rob Base;
There’s a lot of conflicting information about who actually produced the track. A lot of places say Teddy Riley was involved.
Well, me, E-Z Rock and William Hamilton produced the track. No, Teddy was nowhere near that song. It was just us in there. So, I don’t know who else could say they’s there, ’cause it was just us.

My Version has a misprinted label. Audio is definitely correct, label is for Mantronix - got to have your love -

Very excellent update by Jason Nevins of this classic, and only available on vinyl (in full length anyways). The Hot Tracks remix service does have an extended re-edit on this issue which you can get on CD, but I believe it might be sourced from this vinyl. -
What a hiphouse classic! I can't begin to list all of the samples used in this! Known in Flanders from the "Turn up the bass" compilations!

Edited 5 years agoStrafe - Set It Off brought me here. Without Strafe's beat, this track would be soggy toast.

A classic dance tune. I couldn't do a set without multiple requests for this track. Almost hip-house like -- of course at 111 bpm it would work.
I think they should have pressed it in 45 RPM considering it is only 5:00 long. It would have sounded better. -
An all time classic! Still drop this at a party, and always goes down a storm. I have this 7" version - the pressing is nice and loud, which you don't always get with a little 45. And I've had the same copy for years, still plays great. Top top tune.
