Anyone know if this version is remastered or original mix/master?

I had never heard this album until recently because I had only heard their later stuff and it was a bit too intense for my old ass.
This album rules. It's become my morning headphone listen with coffee and I love it. Sound is great, maybe a bit thin because of no bass?

Sounds absolutely marvelous, glad he remixed this classic. All the songs gorgeously rip through the speakers fuller and heavy as fuck.

So is this actually that 'remix' Hull did? Digitally I can hear the differences and hate the remix version, but was struggling to tell the difference on this vinyl in all honesty.

Bit late to reply to a comment from 13 years ago but had to address the claims below from stalkism. There isn't any basis to any of it... The master used for these 2007 pressings is the same that was used for the original CD release in 2001. The mixing and mastering of the album was always wonky when it came to the volume between tracks. It was recorded lo-fi, on 8-track in Brian Harvey's basement as the liner notes state. This was always part of the raw appeal and sound of PITY. It's amazing that the production/sound is as good as it is. The 2015 remix and remaster addressed these "issues" and as such (for a lot of fans of the original master anyway) lost a lot of its savage charm. And regarding "Tracks that are supposed to be mixed into one another seamlessly"... this must be referring to Body Scout which always had an audio glitch toward the end of the track that cuts out and back in again abruptly. This was fixed on the 2015 remaster.

So to roundup these 2007 releases are the only way to own the OG mix/master on vinyl and it sounds amazing, even more brutal than the original CD and somehow managing to increase the abuse that this record inflicts on your ears. Like being sliced with razors blades from an unknown entity more and more with each ing track. One of the best ever Grind albums without a doubt.

Good sounding press. It's missing 'evacuating heaven' which is a bummer, but aside from that 16 seconds I'm happy.

I got lucky wearing a Horrendous 'Ecdysis' shirt to their first show in Denver, and the merch guy offered to take my LP to have the whole band sign it. Love love love this record. Completely changed my mind on grind as a whole.

I was hesitant to buy a splatter vinyl knowing that in past experiences, it would be bad. I was wrong. This pressing sounds massive and much better than the digital version. I was blown away by the drums and guitars.

I got my copy of this in the mail yesterday. I know a lot of people are torn on the remaster of this, but man does this pressing sound great! Turned it up nice and loud. The guitars are loud and the drums made my floor shake. I love it.
