AIR – Original Motion Picture Score For The Virgin Suicides

Japanese pressing sound is excellent. the music? It's ok let's put it this way Moon Safari it ain't

I own this since day one, apart from the music itself, a masterpiece, it sounds warm and soulful, the volume is medium, so it needs some crankin' up, and the surface noise on a NM copy is minimal, you'll get engulfed by the sheer beauty to notice such technicalities!!!

Great pressing with a wide soundstage and clear separation between the instruments. I like the reverb from the keyboards, the controlled drumming, and the sonorous tone of the sax in “Playground Love”.

Everything sounds amazing and the presentation is top notch. The artwork and extra content enhanced the experience of the soundtrack.

Does anybody know if the CD 1 Master is the same as the original 2000 release? Thanks :)

The picture disc isn't too bad sound wise - the usual pic disc rumble is quite low. It's a beautiful looking disc on both sides.
The radio sessions are great.

Annoyingly, even if there is more than enough space remaining on the CD's, this 2015 Deluxe Edition does NOT feature all of the songs played at the fantastic American Legion Hall concert from 22nd of January 2000.

The full concert is (still) only available on bootleg soundboard recordings, and below is the tracklisting for the 18-track stereo version. The *-symbol denotes the songs that were remastered and actually included for the deluxe edition:

Lovely reissue, and the pull-out tray and front window are really impressive touches, but it appears the design brief was ‘super-size’. The posters are enormous, and the box itself is about an inch too big to fit into a standard Kallax rack. If you don’t mind it on display (and since this is a great album with great artwork, it’s perfectly acceptable), it’s a good thing to have. If not, you’ll probably end up taking the musical contents out the box and putting it in the shed...

Fantastic! Clean, flat and flawless pressing. Dynamic with a nice sound stage. It has a full, rich and expansive sound. This one was done right!

My version of this promo is entitled "Virgin Suicide" (singular) on both the CD and the printed sleeve, without the 's' and without the "OST".

Also, the final track on my promo CD is entitled "Suicide Undercover", not "Suicide Underground".
