Monty Python – Monty Python's Contractual Obligation Album

If anyone has a rip or transcript of the following:

There are two versions of hidden messages at the end of side 1, announcing a gap, and then announcing the end of the gap.
One version is on the issue with John Denver and the out-of-sync I'm So Worried, the other version is on the reissue with no John Denver and the corrected I'm So Worried.

Nothing massively exciting, but would be nice to hear them.

I can't hear Jones fluff a line in "I'm So Worried. I've seen that he does on early pressings, and I have an early pressing with John Denver, but I would have to compare it bit by bit with a later version. Can anyone pinpoint where the mistake is In ISW, that was later corrected?

This particular version with “ Farewell to John Denver” was recalled and re released without said track after being sued by John Denver.

Quite funny how they went ing the European Arista label for the US release!

my copy is mispressed, on side B it´s CAS 1151 (Brand X "do they hurt") B side.

My copy of this cassette DOES mention track 9: Farewell To John Denver. This 16-second track ONLY appears on very early copies of the original pressings of the LP and cassette as it was quickly removed to prevent legal action from John Denver's lawyers.

Confirmation from Eric Idle on Twitter re: this LP history:
On the John Denver track: "Yes he sued in the UK and we had to remove it because we have no Freedom of Speech law"
On the title: "It’s because we suddenly found out we owed Arista an album. None of us knew. So I called it that and encouraged the Pythons to write songs with amazing results. Finland. Muddy Knees. Never be rude. Oliver Cromwell..."

Addendum (courtesy of Wikipedia): The original cassette version had an additional track due to Side 1 being several minutes shorter than side 2. At the end of Side 1 (about 0:45 after "I'm So Worried"), Michael Palin states that there will be a "tiresome gap" before the tape ends. Several minutes (about 4:52) of silence ensue, followed at the very end by Eric Idle stating that the gap was over and the tape may be turned to side 2. The amended UK cassette release (with the John Denver section removed and 'fixed' I'm So Worried) features an alternative message from Terry Jones at the end in place of the Michael Palin and Eric Idle messages.

Note: There's an extended bit of silence after "I'm So Worried", before one of the Pythons (probably Cleese... I can't ) interrupts with a surprise monologue! If you still have the cassette... let it play all the way through! :D
