Magical Mystery Tour is the soundtrack to the Beatles television film of the same name. The film's music was released on a double EP in the UK, released on December 8, 1967. In the USA, an eponymous LP was released on November 27, 1967, extended by five tracks. Here it was their 15th album. In , the album was not released until September 16, 1971, here it was their 19th album, including the compilation albums. In the UK, the album was released nine years later than in the US, on November 19, 1976.
The album Magical Mystery Tour was released on CD for the first time in Europe on September 22, 1987 and since then has been the only original US album in the Beatles' core catalogue.

Found this second-hand at a record shop, and arguably, this is the best-sounding pressing of any record I own. I am the Walrus is so tremendously powerful, the bass, the vocals - just about everything is amazing. If you have the chance to buy this, I urge you to do so. It is an amazing experience to hear this pressing.

On my copy side A/B is solid center and side C/D is push-out center. -

Edited 4 months agoThere's not going to be any kind of 3D effect with this - it's the same image misprinted, not two different images. -
Apparently,, some copies with green lyric sheets contain a mispressed disc 2 which plays Blue Jay Way in mono. Source Steve Hoffman Forum. My copy plays correctly. I do have a copy with that error, but it has yellow lyric sheets. -

My version has different record centers, with a sort of plastic triangle. No need for an adapter to play it. -
