Oasis (2) – (What's The Story) Morning Glory?

When I saw this version while browsing through the unofficial releases on this album and saw the disc in GOLD, I said to myself "OH, MY GOD I NEED THIS!" and if ANYONE has a link to a site where I can buy this exact version (pictures of the disc for proof) PLEASE SEND ME IT!

I had to lurbicate my tape, but after a couple months of trial and error, it plays flawlessly, and with pretty good sound quality! These albums are so saturated with the amount of tracks recorded for each song, so they’ve never been audiophile material, but it sounds fairly good on cassette. I prefer it to the CD.

buyer beware, this era of tape these days end up having lots of wow and flutter, and some copies can be unplayable

That pressing shines ! Apart from being a very nice collectible item with the original inner photos and artworks (it has been changed in new editions) that vinyls sounds great and now I can hear the bass on a oasis record ;) love it

I can’t stress enough the amount of different CD’s I’ve been through to actually determine if a CD sound is better than this. Long story short it’s not. Seriously it’s just not. This damont pressing brings another level of depth that you just will not get on a CD. The sound is unreal. Having said that, this and the 2009 are the closed you are getting to true representation of this albums sound. This was NEVER an audiophile sound to begin with, it just got so much worse with the new remasters on vinyl.

mixed on this pressing. Some songs sound pretty good and are great representations of the songs, but Roll With It, sound AWFUL. Genuinely thought my stylus was gunked up or broken, there's this awful sibilance that thankfully disappears for Wonderwall. There's a lack of dynamics, but the album didn't have great dynamics to start with. Thankfully my favorite track, Cast No Shadow, sounds incredible on here. I would love a new mix eventually to free the album from it's 90s production shackles though.

My friend that listens to the cd said this sounded better. I haven’t listened to the cd enough so I can’t say but I just got the vinyl yesterday and it really made the songs shine. Also each side of the vinyl is its own vibe. I’m super happy that I didn’t spend a lot and got such a great play copy. The sleeve is a vg but it still looks very good as it should haha. Goddamn I love oasis.

Obviously one of the greates records ever made, unfortunately the sound on this pressing is terrible. Production was never good anyway, but this record is not very enjoyable due to its flat sound. Yes, I like my rock and roll dirty and distorted but this is just a mess. Very unfortunate as the songs are pure gold.

Anyone know where to find or buy in the US?

Not the best sounding record I own. It’s not necessarily bad sounding, just kinda featuring to listen to imo. The songs sound fine but the pressing itself doesn’t enhance the album for me. Still an enjoyable to have on in the background.
