Bought it on release (from amazon actually) but it sounds great, i love the fact that it's on a 12" & a 7" both play at different speeds, i was worried they'd never release another album, but they did, i'm very happy, the dynamics sound great on this, my set up is not special either, but my vinyl sounds great on it .

Edited 2 years agoA very good pressing, just leaves a lot to be desired. The 12'' was way quieter than the 7'' for some reason and the record is a bit noisy at points, but other than that it is a fine record, 10/10 packaging, 7.5/10 pressing.

This label, Constellation presses horrible sounding records. and this one is no exception. Save your money and buy the files because this sounds heavily compressed. All the instruments are blended in together in one huge and imposing bloc. There is no soundstage, no dynamics, it feels as though the music is all in your head. No feeling whatsoever. Too bad because the music is really good...

never seen an album pressed on 2 discs of different sizes before. are you intended to listen to 12" side a, then 7" side a, then 12" side b, then 7" side b?

While not the strongest release from the group, what can you expect? This is a comeback record after a ten year hiatus. It's full of fun little drone bits and well placed samples, along with some interesting to hear instrumentals.

Definitely a drone-oriented piece, but wonderful subtleties the more you listen. My vinyl copy sounds gorgeous, sorry to hear some have noisy copies. I found the vinyl production to be stellar. I bought several of their records at once direct from constellation and they slipped a nice handwritten note thanking me for their :)
