Edited 22 days agoOne out of the three most important (in my personal opinion) brutal death albums - Tomb Of The Mutilated, Molesting The Decapitated and this. Amazing album, very interesting and intricate, the real landmark of the genre. True masterpiece, intrinsic brilliant.

For anyone familiar with this album knows how thin/poor the production is. With this vinyl, it's really no different either. I noticed some positive reviews here on discord, so I decided to grab it. Not necessarily disappointed, but you really can't polish a turd. Great album, just poor production.
Still sounds like I'm listening to a 5th generation cassette. However, I will say that this pressing sounds SLIGHTLY better than any other version I've heard so far. Got this for around $22 shipped. If you really love this record, and can get this for around $20, I say go for it. -

2 more tracks to be rerecorded, so we're getting at least 2 more albums before Suffo retires! -
great album on its own but this pressing also improves a bit on the mix. The cover looks amazing as well

Edited 2 years agoReissue for a limited circle of connoisseurs and collectors of cult Death Metal releases on vinyl. But no more than that. Everyone knows about the difficult fate of this record, this reissue does not correct the situation in general, especially if you buy this vinyl for listening.
Let's start with the fact that the reissue edition has a fairly good reproduction of coverart. The quality of the outer sleeve is not bad, but the inner insert is printed with low-quality raw paper in a black-and-white colour - slightly better quality than paper for street newspapers. Although, the vinyl itself is printed just great, real heavy 180 grams, absolutely transparent with black smoke, the feeling that a piece of glass is in your hands. Perfectly smooth surface with great playback quality. For marketing purposes, the release is numbered, my copy is numbered 820, it's a pity - I would like to have a copy from number 666 in the collection and immediately put it up at this auction for the same amount =)
If we talk about sound quality, then you can't laugh it off here - everything is about as bad as you imagine. Each musical instrument exists by itself, in the introduction of vocal parts, the voice interrupts everything else. If you have the misfortune to live in an apartment building, then the instrumental part sounds as if the neighbors have turned on the music, and the vocal part sounds as if someone is shouting something to you from the next room through a closed door. The musical material here is simply excellent - fresh compositional thinking, technical skills of playing musical instruments, a lot of original solutions in arrangements (especially if you in what year the album was released). But all this is hidden behind the weaknesses of studio production. In principle, after listening to the next version of the reissue of this album on vinyl, it seems that the reissue of this recording on analog media is meaningless. Most likely, some people will simply buy this album to complete the collection. Collector's interest is not the same as listener's interest. Otherwise, it's funny to realize that this recording has almost excellent characteristics with DR 12-13, but even its not allow to enjoy listening to the recording. -
Another amazing Roadrunner back catalogue reissue from MOV. Artwork looks great, I don't have an OG and whilst I can't tell if they had access to original elements or not it certainly looks way better than the recent release from Listenable Records. It still has a softness to it which indicates that it likely comes from a CD scan but it has a nice vibrancy and retains a lot of detail. It's not as vivid as the placeholder image that's being used when you buy this online, it's more muted/darker than that. I can't afford an original press of this so I'm very happy with the job they have done here.
MOV clearly couldn't fix the production on this one, but it's definitely the best I've heard it sound. The master has an intensity and punch that my original CD lacks and you don't have to really crank it like the CD to bring out the detail. Ultra quiet, flat pressing with no surface noise that I could hear. A+++ again from MOV. Unless you can afford an original I would snap this up asap. Fingers crossed they're planning on doing Pierced From Within too. -
Just received and listened to it. The jacket color looks great and the image looks pretty good too. The audio is great as well. I know this album is maligned for the production but it seemed perfectly fine on this LP. Very quiet between the tracks and sounds like it should during them.

Amazing sounding bootleg the production on the album was never great to begin with but sounds great on this release. Nice and deep low end really cuts through

Nettement plus réussis que son prédécesseur , avec un mastering plus propre mettant plus en valeur la basse ainsi qu'une prod' clairement plus homogène ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 𝟖,𝟓/𝟏𝟎
