Hole (2) – Live Through This

I bought Live Through This from the IVC/Interscope website as a bundle with one of their specialty pressings. The Hole album they said wouldn’t ship until 4.15. They shipped (https://www.discogs.sie.com/release/31672241-Hole-2-Live-Through-This) to me on 4.10. It has the MADE IN POLAND as well as the 2016 dates.

Did this happen to anyone else?

I bought this out of morbid curiosity. The album wasn’t originally pressed on vinyl and there hasn’t been any indication of a remastered version. It was $25.50. Why not? Ya know what? It isn’t bad. Very quiet. Flat record. Punchs good. Like a solid jab to the face. Will update later after another spin and comparing it to the Apple Music version.

Wow! I have a few of these DMM stampers and they all sound great! No exception here. Loud with nice midrange and thumping bass, clear separation with aggressive guitars. Vocals riding atop the wall of sound. You can turn this up and up (and up again) without distortion or fatigue. Damn this sounds fantastic!

Bummed yet amazed to learn it's a bootleg (but I learned quickly, due to the complete lack of any copyrights, credits, barcodes and, above all, matrix). Grabbed my copy at Amoeba 2017 in SF; listened gazillions times since then, and nothing's ever beaten this quality for me (speaking of other LP pressings of this masterpiece).

I absolutely LOVE this album, so it's kind of a shame no announcement has been made for a 30th Anniversary edition.

I got the German pressing, no Back to Black hype sticker. It sounds killer from front to back. Zero clicks and pops. No need to compare to a 100€ + OG pressing. It's a punk record and blasted right through my speakers from the start. It's comes in a lovely black and was deadflat due to being 180g heavy. Artwork looks just as fine. If you're thinking of acquiring a copy of this album, don't hesitate and grab a copy of this pressing.

Can people confirm that these sealed ones being sold are actually red and not pink? The true red one was very limited and difficult to get prior to 2023 and I bought one. I see theres been a reissue of pink in 2023 and maybe are being sold here by mistake??

I bought a copy the other day, which has a different address on the back of the cover for Universal. The album has a sticker with "Made In "

Universal is located on the new address from September 2019. The runout is different as well

If this is a digital master, it is surprisingly good and does not lack detail. My copy at least however has a fair bit of popping and clicking on tracks B1 and B2, even after a cleaning - so I cannot confirm whether I was unlucky or if it was the actual pressing.
