referencing Take Me Baby (12", 33 ⅓ RPM) TB smile 001
Musician, composer, Cloth & musical instruments designer, Jimi Tenor (Lassi Lehto) has known as
a productive musician whose work lies beyond current trends.
"Take me Baby" was his first big hit. A truly special, dark, experimental and very harmonious track.
It first came out on "T & B vinyl", a recordlabel formed in Scotland by DJ's Twitch & Brainstorm, the
residents at Edinburgh techno club "Pure". In track B2 "Dribbler" refers to one of the Dj's of this Club.
The record got the attention of Warp Records, who will bring out the track on a bigger scale and make
a huge classic of the original mix. A superb version by the way, but I got the pimples when i heard the
"Finnish Bass Boy Mix" for the first time. A deep en strong bassline ed with a magical high melody
and a strong voice. Superb!
This mix was also the one that make the crowd go wild in Belgium. Nevertheless and besides having
some great memories on this one, it isn't the reason for me loving it. The greatness of the artist and his
record clearly are!
