this reissue was pressed before 2005; in my collection since at least 2003.

I wish it had been the other (real) UK Double Trouble doing this remix. Also there is some strange volume boosts going on towards the end of the original mix.

Surprised to see no mention of Rakim anywhere on either side of this record's label.

I hate rap/hip hop/r & b but this track is ace.

It’s been four years since remixer Nevin’s reintroduced Run-DMC’s ‘It’s Like That’ to a whole new generation of B-boys and girls. Since then a dozen other labels’ have hired him to recreate his multi-million selling remix feat on a plethora of old skool anthems. any of ‘em? Thankfully his Midas touch is back as this classic from ’88 gets housed-up with complimentary beats, a filtered intro and chunky percussion to match the near-timeless lyrical waxings of two hip-hop greats. To quote from another song of theirs, this should move the crowd.

DJ Eric and Rapper Rakim first released this in 1987 where it only made a slight impression on the charts. Then came the inevitable remix by Danny D and Norman Cook under the pseudonym Double Trouble and it took the country by storm.
