I have such a hard time choosing between "Weaving My Ancestors' Voices" and "The Zen Kiss" for my favorite Sheila Chandra album on Real World. They're both so good! -
When i think back, i first heard Sheilas voice in a sample from "Ever so lonely / Eyes / Ocean" used in RMB projects (famous for techno & rave records) track "Love is an Ocean", back in the mid' 90ies as a teenager. This track & in the end her voice followed me all my life until many moons later i stumbled over a record as a dj on the french "Space Hors Series", where a afro.deep remix of "Waiting" was released. After that i started searching for her productions & i am finally glad, to have my hands on these reissues on vinyl. My copy sounds very silent, yet a few crackles here & there, luckily most of them between the tracks. Will try some cleaning after the first spin. I'm totally in love with the hypnosis this music gives me. Thank you for the music Sheila. Amazing.
