Edited 11 days agoI was also hesitant to buy another copy of this records. But this bests the MOFI in the oh so important highs and bests the DMM in instrument separation and soundstage. A little weak in the mids but the tradeoff is worth it. This is the definitive version.

Edited 2 months agoSomewhat inconsistent pressing..Some songs are very bass heavy and require turning the bass levels down, like My Name is Jonas. In The Garage sounds absolutely incredible, however. Definitely sounds better the louder you crank it, and it is satisfying and loud at a certain point. Maybe I was spoiled by hearing the Pinkerton MoFi first, as it’s the best sounding record I own. I have No. 017324. Pretty sure this is a lot better than my reissue but I’m still not 100% satisfied. -

Must have for anyone who grew up yelling the whole album at the top of their lungs. Bonus if you did it with friends. I only wish it came with a Blu-Ray that included the Atmos mix. -
quality is ehh at best, had pops and clicks straight out of the wrap, and the color variant is far less impressive than d. Not a bad pickup if you don't have the album already but there are so many better pressings out there, like the target exclusive b/w marbled that I'd highly recommend over this pressing.

Perfect track. Good quality and looks amazing. Only downside is the inner sleeve.I expected not a standard sleeve but a custom designed artwork sleeve with songs on it like the nirvana - nirvana album. But anyways just an amazing LP -
Edited 2 months agoCuriosly I have this EU-Edition, but with a barcode sticker over the printed barcode with 0 720642 46291 1?!? This should be the UK-Edition from 1994. But it's definitive this EU-Edition. Anyone who have the same issue?
In my opinion it's not a new remastered edition. They have cut this edition for vinyl using the original master tapes of 1994. On the back sleeve is note, that this is a "mastered" version. Later editions (e.g. the blue vinyl US-edition of 2018) have the note "remastered" instead of mastered.
But I agree of all positive reviewers, the sound is amazing, but I don't have compared it unfortunately to the new Halfspeed-Mastered version from November 2024. I will review this later... -

Surprised by the comment about bass. This sounds terrific to my ears. Clean, balanced sound with great stereo separation. The bass sounds exactly how I’d expect it—prominent in the places where you’d hope.
I wish it came with a lyric sheet so I could sing along more easily.
