Four Tet – There Is Love In You

Excellent pressing. Everything stands out very nicely. No pops, clicks. Sounds very "full" when comparing to thin digital sound.

Side A/B sound incredible. Lots of surface noise at the beginning of side C and it continues at a lower level throughout the side. I don't have the issue that the poster below does re: end of side C. Side D sounds great as well.

As others have pointed out there's a pressing issue or anomaly in the lacquer cutting on disc 2. Last song on side C 'reversing' is almost unplayable. My cartridge and arm actually shudder on this track and there's a lot of crackling and background noise. God knows what they did here. I expect better from Optimal. Unfortunately this ruins what is overall a great sounding pressing for such an iconic piece of electronic bliss. I bought the last one online here in for a reasonable price so unfortunately I'm stuck with this record as I wouldn't want to return it and be without.

Update..just unpacked the remix album and it's full of mini scratches/scuffs on both sides! It's in a poly lined sleeve FFS. Raging!

This is my second Four Tet on Vinyl, the other being the VMP release of Pink, which was also mastered by Matt Colton. I went in blind on this, and am happy with the purchase. Overall chillish album with a lot of layers and pieces moving around. Sounds great, and the bonus disc of remixes makes this a great value overall.

This pressing sounds great. Plays well with almost zero surface noise. The album itself has variety with chill ambient tracks and some up tempo electronic tracks. The extra disc containing re-mixes is also a great addition.

So have just played my copy throughout. My C & D disc has really noticeable pops and clicks. Other two discs are dead silent. Anyone else experiencing this?

borderline flawless press IMO, sound is so deep, warm and punchy. no imperfections that i hear (thus far.) fitting pressing for a fantastic album

This pressing sounds really good! My only complaint is that my first disc is quite warped right on the outer edge, doesn't affect playback but the needle is jumping up and down like crazy.

Great package, though my copy is pretty clearly not 180 gram as is listed on the page here.
